Fees vary depending on the nature and scope of project or services (Construction, Manufacturing, Expeditor Services, etc.) Fee schedule and/or applicable billing rates shall be attached to the customized proposal associated with the project, to be executed by both parties prior to commencement of work by 1CADsource, hereafter abbreviated as “1CAD”: Billing 1CAD shall receive a deposit (retainer fee) of approximately 50% of total contract value at project start, prior to commencement of work. Billing of the remainder of contract fee shall be bi-weekly or monthly, at the sole discretion of 1CAD. In the event services are to be provided on an on-going hourly basis, the retainer fee shall be calculated based on 50% of total estimated hours, at applicable hourly rate(s), of the first bi-weekly billing cycle only, assuming a history of prompt payment of invoices is established on a bi-weekly or monthly basis thereafter with new clients. Clients with an established relationship with 1CAD may request a waiver of retainer fee. However, 1CAD reserves the right to impose 50% retainer fee prior for any project or bi-weekly hourly contract, at our discretion, in the event of un-timely payment of invoices or for any reason. Initial ____ Reimbursables The cost of copying and large format printing, as directly related to project deliverables (spec or detail books, bound project specifications, hardcopy drawings sets, etc.) shall be billed to client at cost plus 10%, with supporting documentation provided ( printer’s invoice, etc.) > Travel outside of greater San Diego County, as specifically required for project (site visits, visits to fabrication facilities, etc.) shall be reimbursed at $___ per mile (for road trips) and other travel accommodated by client, as applicable to project. Initial ____ Termination 1CAD reserves the right to terminate our business relationship with any client on any given project, if client breaches terms of contract including but not limited to those summarized on this document and accompanying contract documents (executed proposal/contract, or amendments.) Initial ____ Client-Provided Information The Client shall provide the following information, unless otherwise stated and agreed upon by 1CAD: - Client’s standard pen table(s), along with a printed sample of line weights associated with pen table(s).
- Client’s standard Title Block (if applicable.) If client does not have, or does not need, a standard title block, 1CAD will provide a title block for use on the project.
- Scale and Media size of plotted output (even if deliverables are to be in electronic format only.)
- All standard blocks (cels in Microstation) associated with the project, as required for drawings and details to be produced by 1CAD for the client.
- All drawing and design specifications and requirements.
- Written summary of scope of the work to be performed by 1CAD.
- Complete, self-explanatory red-lines may be provided in addition to or in lieu of item 5 above, as applicable.
- Schedule (deadlines) and definition of project deliverables. Client must define whether drawings produced by 1CAD will be delivered in electronic and/or hardcopy formats, and specify those formats (.dwg, .pdf, full-size set, half-size set, etc.)
- Any and all other reasonable requirements as may be ascertained but not listed in this document, per other communication or amendments to these terms.
Initial ____ Limits of Liability 1CAD maintains that we can and will provided complete and accurate drawings, contingent only on the information received from the Client. We can draw anything you require, if you give us adequate information. However, 1CAD assumes no liability for faulty functioning, defects, violation of municipal or other codes and standards, or damages resulting there from, or any damages or losses resulting from design deficiencies and/or due-diligence responsibilities originating with client, client employees, representatives, or agents, and/or designers, Architects or Engineers of Record. This clause would not apply, or applies with limitations, on projects where 1CAD acts as architect of record on new construction and expeditor projects. Initial ____
